"Wait! There's no monsters in Indiana Jones!"
..........there's a SHIT load of things in this video that AREN'T in Indiana Jones. You should have left out the "There's no monsters in Indiana Jones!" comment. Other than that I felt like I was watching one of those stick fight movies, but just in another context. It was boring and didn't offer anything new, but the name "Indiana Jones". It's kinda like the movie Dances With Wolves and The Last Samurai. The EXACT same movie and concept, just a different situation. I will, however, award points for smooth animation, that's about it though.
I just have to say that DarkWiccan23's review had to been the most indepth and brilliant review I've ever read. I agree with DarkWiccan23's review. DarkWiccan neither condemns or aproves, he mearly states what is. The way of Jeet Kune Do.......I'm a big bruce lee fan, sorry.
Despite of the negative things people have to say about this animation, I for one thought it was great. You did a great job with this animation and would actually like to see it become a series like your "Salad Fingers" series. This animation is like something you'd see on "Adult Swim" on Cartoon Network. This animation definately has its own style of humor and art. Burnt Face Man has a lot of random humor (my favorite kind of humor) in it and I love it. Yo Mr. Firth, don't listen to all the negative things people say about your hard work, there are many many people out there who have no idea of the hard work, dedication, persistance, and love that go into these creations and completely shun them if they don't pertain to THEIR taste in art rather than seeing the movie for what it is (as you mentioned in your "Author's Comments"). I, as a fellow animator, know of the work involved and can appreciate animations for what they are rather than compairing everything to everything. Believe me Newground fans, it's harder than it looks...so be a little more appreciative..cause remember, he animates for YOU, for your entertainment. So anyway, keep up the good work, keep em' comin, and just continue to do what you love man, peace out!
Tom Green all over again....
This has "Tom Green" written all over it. This reminded me of his movie Freddy Got Fingered when the "Zebras In America" pilot is being shown and he's talking about his hooves. Anyway.....this movie wasn't great at all, it was mindless/meaningless violence.....and that's about it. Nothing much more to talk about.
Amazingly entertaining spoof!
This was an extremely funny spoof on MGS. I loved every bit of it. There was never a dull moment where I didn't laugh. This is definately my kind of humor and I'd like to see more of this sort of humor on Newgrounds. Most of the parodies/spoofs that come around here are done with horrible voice acting (either trying TOO hard, or just don't care), or way too much time on how it looks rather than it's content, or the humor is just really bad. The movie was well very well done. Keep up the great humor!
I'm not quite sure of the meaning behind this movie, but it sempt to be a deep and dark one at that. I found this movie a little disturbing only because I'm not to partial to the torture of others. The movie was also frightening but, the fact that you were able to bring out such an emotion through an animation with ficticious characters takes tallent. To bring out such emotions in your audience is a great visionary gift, I give you props on that. This was definately one of a kind, I've never seen anything like it before, but is definately not for the faint of heart. To be able to make someone laugh through a vision such as an animation doesn't take MUCH talent, but to bring out fear in someone through an animation takes real talent. It's much harder than you may believe. Keep it up!! Ta!
Not bad, the only thing I could see wrong with it was the rotating "Madness Guy." If you were trying to portray a camera rotating around a NON-MOVING/ROTATING "Madness guy", there is ONY minor skewed detail. If you pay attention to the background, the background implies that the CAMERA is rotating around the "madness guy" COUNTER-CLOCKWISE, BUT if you pay attention to the "Madness Guy," the "madness guy" implies the CAMERA is rotating CLOCKWISE. Two opposing views. If you were wanting it to look more realistic, slow the rotation of the "Madness Guy" and have him rotating clockwise as well. Rotating along with the background, just be sure to keep the "Madness guy" rotating SLOWER than the background. If you were just simply showing us how you can make things seem 3d, then just disregard everything I told you. I just figured you were wanting it to seem like the camera was rotating around this "Madness Dude" and you had messed up. I was only tryin to help. =] Anyway, keep it up. Ta!
Although it was well animated, it had no REAL point to it. I was confused the ENTIRE time. It wasn't scary, funny, eye catching or entertaining for that matter. I just kind of sat here waiting for it to finish to see if somehow the movie would reach a real interesting part, but it failed to do so. Anyway, your ability to think outside the box and display your ideas in such a way is something to be proud of, you stand out from the rest, and thats a good thing. Farewell!
The artistic ability you have is just awesome! I liked everything except for how it sempt you mearly created this animation to see how gory of a movie you could make. In other words, the deaths were extremely pointless, but greatly animated. I was disapointed with the LAST killing of that woman against the wall taking the shanks to the stomach. I was hoping the woman zombie was going to remove articles of clothing off the woman who was about to die, that would have made up for the lack of story behind the deaths. LOL, anyway, great job, peace!
Different but not interesting
Good graphics and good animation....BUT!! It lacks entertainment and without entertainment....you lack the audiences attention. I wanted to turn it off about 2 min into the animation. ENTERTAIN US!! Good drawings can only get you so far. Don't get me wrong, you did an EXCELLENT job on the drawings, but the movie's "all-in-all" rewatch value is shit!
